Company Profile
Jana Small Finance Bank Limited, founded in July 2006, is a non-banking finance firm that specialises in providing MSME loans, affordable housing loans, term loans to NBFCs, loans against fixed deposits, two-wheeler loans, and gold loans. Jana SFB provides a variety of unsecured lending products, including individual and microbusiness loans, agricultural and allied loans, and group loans. The company offers digital goods, services, and platforms to both retail and corporate customers, including mobile and online banking. Between March 31, 2021 and March
31, 2023, the bank’s gross secured advances climbed from ₹50,760.00 million to ₹99,047.54 million, resulting in a CAGR of 39.69%. Jana SFB had 754 banking facilities in 22 states and two union territories as of March 31, 2023, with 272 of them in unbanked rural areas. This pan-India presence has helped the bank lower its concentration risk. Since 2008, the bank has served around 12 million customers. As of March 31, 2023, there were 4.57 million active customers. In the previous three fiscal years, the bank gained 0.91 million, 0.51 million, and 0.08 million new customers, respectively. As of March 31, 2023, Jana SFB had 18,184 permanent workers.
The bank classifies loans into three categories:
- individual loans for home improvement/repair,
- individual loans for school fees, and
- individual personal loans for debt consolidation, family functions, incidental expenses, and business purposes.
